Cafeteria
The full-service cafeteria stays open weekdays for breakfast and lunch. Hospital guests can order an evening meal by calling Food Services at extension 5-6300, or 271-6300.

Chapel
A quiet space for prayer and contemplation, the chapel is available to persons of all faiths 24 hours a day. Patients and visitors who want to be remembered in prayer may write their names and requests on a log in the chapel.

Rev. Bob Atwell, director of the Loudon County Baptist Association, coordinates the hospital chaplaincy program. He schedules volunteer pastors and laypersons to visit and comfort patients on a regular basis. Patients should tell their nurse if they would like to receive a visit.

Children's playroom
Bright and cheery, the playroom on the main floor of the hospital is for well children who want to have fun while they visit. The colorful space features toys and aquatic décor. A whole wall picturing an octopus, lobster, turtle and other ocean creatures entertains young guests.

Fort Loudoun Professional Building
Fort Loudoun Medical Center's Professional Building is located next to the hospital - a convenience for patients as well as doctors.

Residents of Loudon and surrounding counties have access to the offices of more than 50 physicians, whose specialties include dermatology, gastroenterology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), surgery and urology.

Gift shop
Volunteers operate the gift shop, which is located in the lobby area. They sell a variety of greeting cards, balloons, household items, knickknacks, shirts and snacks, in addition to used paperbacks, DVDs, videos and cassettes to entertain patients and visitors.

All profits go toward hospital purchases such as wheelchairs and benches for the outdoor patio.

Shop hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hotels
Several hotels are planned on property adjacent to Fort Loudoun Medical Center. These lodging and dining facilities will add another level of convenience for our visitors and their guests.

Parking
Visitors immediately notice the abundant parking at Fort Loudoun Medical Center. It's easy to find a space - often near the front door!

Volunteer Visits
Our volunteers are happy to visit patients upon request - checking on them periodically, seeing if they need anything, and just lending a helping hand and friendly ear. Patients can tell Admissions or their floor nurse if they would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

Restaurants
Down-home favorites such as Cracker Barrel and Aubrey's are within easy walking distance of the hospital. For customers pressed for time, the restaurants offer take-out service in addition to relaxed indoor dining.

Shopping
Just in case you need flowers or a toothbrush…

Patients and visitors at Fort Loudoun Medical Center and our Professional Building will find shopping opportunities like Wal-Mart right at their fingertips. We are located on Highway 321, just two blocks south of Interstate 75 at Exit 81 - a growing retail area.
