Fort Loudoun Medical Center Quality Profile
Quality Care and Service every time, for every patient.
Fort Loudoun Medical Center supports quality and patient safety improvement initiatives, including the sharing of information so hospitals can work collaboratively to improve the health of our community. Fort Loudoun also supports the sharing of performance data with consumers to help them become active participants in their health care decisions.
Fort Loudoun Medical Center participates in collaborative efforts to improve quality care:

- Institute for Healthcare Improvement 100,000 Lives Saved initiative

- Leapfrog Patient Safety Survey
- JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals
- Participate in continuing education courses within Covenant Health that keep skills and competencies up-to-date
- Provide education to school children in collaboration with local entities devoted to improving the lives of children.
Advanced Care is Built in:
Fort Loudoun Medical Center recently opened a new facility with state of the art equipment and technology, where quality care is built in:
- Improved patient flow between departments and enhanced patient privacy.
- Quality imaging services provided in a new hospital setting with the latest technology and equipment including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, Spiral CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy and general x-ray. Mammography services will also be available mid 2005.
- Addition of many new physicians in a variety of specialties.
