Fort Loudoun Medical Center Nationally Recognized with an ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
Lenoir City, TN, November 17, 2022 –Fort Loudoun Medical Center received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for fall 2022. This national distinction recognizes Fort Loudoun Medical Center’s achievements in keeping patients safe while they are in the hospital.
“Our staff has worked hard to maintain our “A” grade and continues to deliver the highest quality care that our community has come to count on,” said Connie Martin, president and CAO of Fort Loudoun Medical Center. “Providing exceptional care is our priority, and we are honored to receive the ‘A’ grade again.”
The Leapfrog Group, an independent national healthcare safety organization, assigns a letter grade (A, B, C, D or F) to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, injuries, accidents and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to keep patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors The grading system is peer‐reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
